North S K H - D - C KJ65 South S - H - D 6 C A1042QUIZ: How do you make all the tricks?
Solution:
What clues do we have?
- West led the
3. And East didn't play on
's at trick 2. This pretty much sums up to the fact that the spades are 4-4;
- After the
J, West switched back to diamonds. This implies that the hearts are 2-4;
- And the diamonds, from the lead, are 4-4
- ERGO - East is 4-4-4-1!
Play the
A then run the 10.
